These two weeks have been so incredibly busy with all the work I've had to do. I managed to finish my coat and finish my jumpsuit. I say finish... The original design had the fabric curls all over the flares but as they take so long and I had the deadline of the fashion film shooting on the 6th I had to improvise and just do the front half and have the curls slowly fading out. Naturally in true Alex Mac style I was sewing right up until the last minutes but it was done enough that it should hopefully not be noticible in the film!As a little something fun to do after the hectic work days recently, I got to be a feature in the fashion film finale today. The plan was to go along and just be a fake audience memeber of a fake catwalk show (I still don't understand how it's going to fit into the film but we'll see when it's finished I guess!) but ended up being asked to walk on the catwalk with another student/model, Peni. Despite feeling like a short, fat dumpling next to Peni who is beautiful, tall and slim, it was actually so much fun. The amount of times we had to practise the walk was silly but it had to be done as there was only two takes with the confetti cannons. I've now decided I would like confetti cannons where ever I go, please and thank you.
