Today I've been cutting out the pattern in fabric for outfit two's jumpsuit and it's looking good so far. As it's made from a stretchy jersey it's really easy to get to fit the mannequin well which is a bonus! After it was made up and put on the mannequin I then took a pen to the top and drew where I wanted to mesh to begin and end around the top and waist. Then I removed it from the stand, placed my paper pattern pieces against the jumpsuit and altered them to match. I then just about had time to re-do the top with the addition of the mesh pieces and get an idea of the finished look. If you kindly ignore the none matching seams across the back and just imagine the mesh in black and the jersey in a beautiful dark green velvet, it looks like it could turn out pretty well!
